Let's face it.
"Free" online newsletters on every imaginable topic are multiplying like bunnies. Each earnestly offers free news, free advice, free tips, free whatever, all in an effort to win your respect and your business. Many are very good; I subscribe to two or three I find especially helpful (see Resources).
I, however, have decided not to take up bandwidth with my own "Lea's Smart Snippets" newsletter. If you want my opinion or free advice on anything, just call me at 1-800-932-4748. I'll talk to anyone for 15 minutes for free, and my friends will tell you, I've never lacked for opinions or advice.
But, I am a direct marketer, brought up in the old Chicago school of mail order, so of course I have a free offer.
If you'd like to opt in to my "Weekender" List, I will periodically forward on to you -- if you want -- what I call "Something for the Weekend." This will consist of a URL to some bizarre or fascinating web site that I can't believe actually exists. (Having a DSL line makes this stuff much too easy to find!)
You see, I believe we all work much too hard. Rather than load you up with more "free" wisdom, I think you deserve at least 15 minutes a day of pure diversion.
So. I guarantee to email you a link to something cool, vastly entertaining, simply ridiculous, or marginally entertaining. No cost, no obligation.
